Sometimes it feels like emails are writer’s-block magnets. You know you have to send one, but when it comes down to it, none of the words are coming to you. We get it. So we’ve taken the liberty of putting together a series of car sales email templates for every occasion. Trust us, bookmark this. Next time you have a car sales email to send and writer’s block hits (or you’re just pressed for time), these templates are all yours to use.
And introductory email should get sent to anyone who fills out a website form asking for information, but the fact that they initiated the contact doesn’t mean it’s time to put the pedal to the metal. An introductory email is brief, friendly, and very low-pressure.

A service reminder should be a friendly and subdued check-in, not an opportunity to swing for the fences on up-sells. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t advocate for your dealership’s parts and service department. Feel free to discuss coupons or other offers that you can give them to make their experience better. Trade-Ins can be extremely difficult to get, and one solid way that dealers often overlook is via emails. Say your system notifies you that a customer has had a car now for about 4 years. Maybe it’s time for an email about the potential for a trade-in. Send one out with an easy car sales email template for trade-in emails.

An after-sale follow up allows you to capitalize on the energy and chemistry of the sale and begin setting up the foundations of a long relationship, or to preempt any bad reviews, angry calls, or unsatisfied grumblings, if there is something making the customer unhappy. We’ve created a couple car sales email templates for quick and effective after-sale follow-up emails.

Car Sales Email Template: After-Sale Follow Up – Specific

We’ve mentioned time and again that reputation management is extremely important. One of the steps we always recommend is reaching out to your happy customers for reviews, and if they aren’t in the reviewing mood, to fix what ever problem they have so you don’t have a source of bad word of mouth. This car sales email template is for an underappreciated type of email: the click follow-up. A follow-up email can be sent when someone clicks an email link about an event, offer, or incentive. Following up on a click can be difficult to not make awkward. It’s like trying to flirt after catching a cute person’s eye at a bar – it might mean that they’re really interested in you, but it also might mean they were trying to avoid looking at someone they don’t like on the other side of the room and accidentally made eye contact with you. The best strategy is to be friendly and subtle, not creepy or invasive.
